This is a wonderful book. It brings me great peace and understanding. Daniel Gottlieb has the benefit of surviving and thriving despite his many challenges. He brings not only the wisdom he has derived from his own experiences, but that of countless patients. He also writes beautifully and simply - no jargon. This book was so helpful and insightful, I bought copies for several of my friends.I learned about this book from my mother who is in her eighties.She has had to deal with the challenges of aging, she found the writer to be validating of her struggle yet inspiring.As a psychotherapist , I have recomended this book to my clients and they have enjoyed and benifited greatly from reading it. I would certainly recommend this book to everyone, but especially those individuals who are facing illness,death and loss, or just need some perspective on how to deal with adversity.
Had to get and read this book for one of my graduate classes but I really enjoyed the book. It was an easy read I did it in a couple days only because of my hectic schedule, but the messages were profound and very universal and I think everyone should read this book.

I just got lucky to find "Learning from the Heart" and I would recommend anyone feel hopeless in their life. We all have different way of registering things, but this one won't waist your time or money. I hope you too get lucky and feel rejuvenated.
