a beautiful book full of unicorns to color! i love this book so so so much!

 I really enjoy Marty Noble's coloring book designs and am pleased that she has come out with one with unicorns. While the coloring book is based on a single subject, her treatment makes for a wide variety of designs. Some are flowing and elegant while others have a more stylized look to them. In most designs there is a single unicorn but there are others which involve a beautiful maiden or several unicorns. There are even rectangular shaped unicorn mandalas. Ms. Nobel's unique style is recognizable in each of these designs.The designs are detailed (including backgrounds and/or framing.) A few of the designs have small and intricate areas to color. On the whole, I don't think it is a difficult book to color in due to small shapes. The designs present a nice challenge and have plenty of room to try blending and shading techniques as well as embellishments to the original design(s).This is what I experienced when coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper.31 beautiful and elegant unicorn designs by Marty NoblePrinted on one side of the pagePaper is medium weight, white, lightly rough and perforatedGlue bound but pages can be removed easily at perforations.Designs stop before the perforations. There is a framing line at the outer edges of each design for a more finished look.The book opens fairly flat by creasing/breaking the spine.Alcohol and water based markers bleed through to some degreeGel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the pageColoring pencils work well with this paper. Both wax and oil based pencils lay down good color, layer (same and different colors) and blend well using a pencil style blending stick. Hard lead pencils leave dents on the back of the page.I remove pages or use a blotter page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper to keep ink and dents from marring the pages below.

I preordered this a few months ago but was unsure of what I would get because most, if not all, of the Unicorn coloring books aren't that fantastic. This one IS!! I love Creative Haven and have a ton of their coloring books and this is a terrific addition to my collection. I've already ordered three more for gifts. If you love Unicorns, this is a MUST HAVE! You will not be disappointed!

I adore the Creative Haven coloring book line and this book didn't disappoint me. Each page is one sided letting you color with markers if you choose to. I would still suggest a page or two between the page you are working on and the next just in case of bleed through especially if you are working with an alcohol based marker.The images themselves are quite beautiful and some have quite a good bit of detail to them. These are going to be fun to color!

 Such a beautiful colouring book! Lots of great designs and like all Creative Haven books the pages are perforated for easy removal and the pages are bright white and a bit heavier than other books. Love it!

I love this book. I have a few unicorn coloring books and this phone is my favorite so far. As you would normally expect from Creative Haven, the paper is nice and thick, the artwork is drawn clearly and the detail is rather intricate. This allows you to create colorful, sparkly and magical pictures while relaxing and having a blast!

The unicorns in this book are very pretty and I like to color. I collect unicorns so coloring them is almost therapeutic. I only like to color pretty unicorns though some books have unicorns that are chibi or fat and silly. These are elegant and majestic more for adults than kids.

The pictures were nice and clear. They’re printed on one side of the paper only and have perforation for easy removal from the book. The paper is decent, but not that thick, so if you want to use markers while keeping the pages in the book, I’d reccomend putting a couple peices of scrap paper under the page being worked on.

Included are some nice shots of the magnificent old inn on the south rim and the road that winds around the rim of the crater. "Crater Lake National Park" is very highly recommended to those who have been there, and those who plan to go.

Having recently visited Crater Lake, I wanted a book that came close to capturing the beauty of this place. This is simply the best.

This book has been a fantastic supplement to my learning while taking my first Algorithms course in college. Sedgewick and Wayne show detailed step-by-step explanations of recursive calls, data-structures being built, etc. My class textbook is Algorithm Design which is extremely dense and can be exhausting to read. Whenever I'm not understanding something from that book I hop on over to this one, read the same topic with much more explanations, and it becomes clear. This book also implements everything in Java, and since my school's primary language is Java it helps me have a stronger grasp of actual implementations and helps me link algorithms and data-structures to my actual projects. There's also lots of supplemented material with this book such as Coursera and their booksite. Recommend it for everyone!

Well written and well organized covers all of the important algorithms. I have Robert Sedgewick's two prior books Algorithms in C. This book is much easier to understand and present much simpler manner. I bought this as way of preparing for interviews and it is helping me a lot. At the end of the day It is not hard to impress Google. Amazon and FB engineers at interviews when you are well prepared.

More beginner-friendly than some of the other popular algorithms textbooks. It doesn't crush the reader with proofs or some weird pseudocode language. It doesn't rely on having much math knowledge. It uses laudably-simple Java. The exercises are great. The diagrams are great. There are videos on Coursera if you want verbal explanations too. Doesn't get hung-up on esoteric theory terminology. Contains all the algorithms and datastructures for most job interviews. To build some advanced algorithmic software, this is not your reference; it is too basic. As a bonus, there are great hints about software design practice sprinkled through the book as they are relevant.

The book itself is outstanding. IMO, this is the best textbook for students who really want to learn "algorithms" regarding implementation and its analysis. Compared to CLRS, Sedgewick's approach is more accessible and takes more care about how an algorithm is actually implemented. Besides, the booksite and the course in Coursera, especially the programming assignments and quiz, are extremely useful. Other aspects of the books including algorithm design (OOP), coding style and comment are very good. Readers not only study about algorithms but also about software engineering. I think the algorithms reading roadmap is: Algorithms (Sedgewick) -> CLRS -> Introduction to Analysis of Algorithms -> TAoCP.However, the huge problem which makes me voting 4 star for the book is that some figures and illustrates are rendered badly (page 9, 675, 624, 621, 579, 576, 346, 326). Although I requested Amazon a replacement, the new book still has the same issue.

For beginners, this book is a nice guide to algorithm compared with others like Introduction to Algorithm. The range of algorithms and data structures covered in the book is reasonable so you won't find your study like an endless journey. The algorithms have been implemented in Java so they could be tested to verify the result. This is much better than staring at pseudo code and trying to figure out how to implement yourself. Also the amount of text covering mathematical proof is limited, and you won't find it difficult to skip them.

Just got the Kindle version of the book today. The images are blurry, and this is disappointing because the book, so far, is well-written and informative. If there were a better Kindle version then I would be inclined to give this 4-5 stars based on what I have read so far. For nearly $60, I expect better ina Kindle version of a textbook. Can I get a discount when a better Kindle version comes out?

It has an excellent helper website that allows you to download most of the example code from the book and a few java helper classes to make reading and writing to files, stdout, and stdin quick and easy. It has a few helper classes like the run-time stopwatch all available for downloading.Some of the explanations and code examples were a little overly complicated- Sorting was explained using a 15-20 letter phase instead of starting with a single word to make it easier to digest and them moving on to the more complex example. On most topics our prof explained the algorithms a little differently than the book and his way was easier to comprehend.

Excellent book. Approachable, well-organized and also supported by a top notch website and course on Coursera.If you're new to the study of algorithms, the trio of this book, its website, and the Coursera course are a potent combination for successful learning.This is a more approachable alternative to the CLRS algorithms book.

. Great series, fast paced , and enough twist to keep you guessing who the killer is until the end. Nora, finds plenty of time to solve the murders, happening in Milburn, especially since her children are grown and she is not as involved in her diner as much. You feel like you are part of her family and town as you read.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first 3books in this series. Characters are real with the same issues every parent has with children in their late teens/early twenties. Add in a murder mystery and the combination is irresistible. Can't wait for the next book to come out. Highly recommend.

Return To Milburn is a spin-off series to Ms. McGovern's A Murder In Milburn Series, she's fast forwarded the main characters 25 Years ahead. This is the boxset of the 1st 3 books in the series. I like to binge read so I loved jumping back in with some of my favorite characters and seeing how they've grown and matured! The author's done a great job in writing stories that reflect that growth without losing who they basically are. Even the plots are more mature and grittier. I truly like the new series and can't wait for book 4!

Book 2Nora finds herself again figuring out a murder case. During the Viking Fair, where Nora has a food booth, a murder happens and Nora finds herself right in the middle of trying to figure it out.This is my first Nora story, but, I do plan on reading the series, a great book for mystery lovers, and a real puzzler as to who the murderer is.

I am a big fan of Nancy, she does a wonderful job with this series. I love Nora and the whole series is wonderful! Easy to read and follow!

I love this series, can't wait for #4

It is nice to follow the characters and see them age and change over time.

I enjoyed reading about Nora, Harvey Sean and Karen it was nice to see they were still together. I loved the way Harvey loves Nora so much and turn out to be a really good guy.
