The three main characters, Ari, Kerys and Eva find themselves in their tower stuck on top of what turns out to be a large tower in the middle of an ocean. They go through the tower to gain essence but have to leave when Weatherblights threaten them. They find themselves in a jungle and meet up again with bird girl Rin. They go on a quest for the bird-people's Queen and things go from bad to worse.A good follow up to the first book with plenty of action and sex.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tough to finish. If the protagonist didn’t have bad luck he’d have no luck at all. In both books so far the MC doesn’t come out ahead just waiting for him or his girls to die.
Story starts up right where the last stopped, Ari, Kerys, and Eva are stranded in the tower but soon find them selves needing to leave in an instant... The story then takes place in another area of the world where they meet up with an old friend.The characters continue to develop and become more interesting. I can't wait for the next in the series!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a great continuation to this series. The humor continues to hit home, the story characters and realtionships continue to develop in interestong and unexpected ways and the erotic scenes. Oh man that one with Rin was excellent. The stakes continue to be raised and i cant wait to see how Ari bounces back.
Edmund Hughes is doing great with this new series. I’ve enjoyed all of his previous works and this one is just as good. Looking forward to book 3.
Great characters. Complicated relationships, pain, fear, and desire all read like real emotions. This story was well written and thought out. 4/5 stars only because there are an large number of errors in the text, some where the pronouns of he and her get mixed up mid sentence or the grammar doesn't quite make sense. Easy enough to read past if you can be patient t!
Second installment is just as good as the first! You’ll be sure to like it if you liked the first. Further character development and emotions getting under control along with more action makes a great book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved it can't wait for more, Ari is feeling defeated, what will happen to kerys, will the bird girl be found , will Eva come back..lots of questions.
