Amanda Lindroth founded her design firm in Nassau in 2010 and has since opened a second studio and a shop in Palm Beach. Tria Giovan specializes in interiors, still life, food, and portrait photography. Aldous Bertram, an interior designer and artist, works in Amanda Lindroth’s Palm Beach studio.

I know good design is in the eye of the beholder, but this is one of the most refreshing book of ideas in decades. I judge a design book by if I can use an idea. This book has tons of great ideas that can be used in any home anywhere. It is a joy.
This is a beautiful book; exactly the inspiration I was hoping to find. I've always loved the coastal vibe whether I lived near the coast or far away. Have so many "right" pieces but never quite pulled it all together perhaps because I wasn't paying equal attention to each element of a good design. Amanda Lindroth's expert use of color and light in both simple and very sophisticated settings is inspiring. Equally inspiring are the many layers she creates in each setting, some of which are simple and some complicated but none are overpowering. Comfort and serenity are consistent themes.
ISLAND HOPPING is a direct reflection of the beauty, joy and expertise that genius decorator, Amanda Lindroth brings to each and every project she works on. Looking at the images and reading the stories for each home makes you feel like you are right there living in her sumptuously and meticulously crafted living spaces. She decorates just the way she lives with grace, strength and style.
I am crazy about this book. It is totally my style of tropical island chic. Can’t say enough good things about it and wonderful photos. It is so big that I haven’t even finished it. Fantastic. One of my favorite books ever!!!! Totally worth it.

I find this woman's taste a little on the tacky side. Professional decorator my foot. Disappointing!
I LOVE the islands and have traveled all over the Caribbean over the last two decades. While it's my dream to live there permanently, I can now live vicariously through this fantastic coffee table book, featuring several dozens of homes spanning across the Bahamas and even South America. The homes are gorgeous with incredible sea views and whimsical island decorating! The decor and locations of these homes are absolutely breathtaking and i find myself wanting to live in every one of them! You can flip through this book over and over again, and became inspired by the lives carved out for these lucky island dwellers across the Caribbean. Hats off to the author and decorator, Amanda Lindroth, for creating such beauty and magic!
